Study on fusion method of ASTER multispectral and SPOT panchromatic wave bands

The fusion of remote sensing images can take advantage of multi-resource RS data.Since the data from different kinds of remote sensor have different characteristics,the corresponding fusion method applied to different data should also be different.After discussing the fusion method of ASTER multispectral and SPOT panchromatic wave bands,and contrastively analyzing PCA,IHS and the IHS fusion based on wavelet transformation,it has found out that the IHS fusion based on wavelet transformation is better for keeping multispectral information of overground objects with heightening the spacial resolution as well.
