Method and system for processing short message

The invention discloses a method for processing a short message. The method comprises the following steps that: a sender party transmits a common short message which carries template identification (ID); a receiver party searches a template the same as the template ID in a local template base by analyzing the received template ID contained in the short message; and after synthesis of a text and the template, an individual text is displayed on a custom position by using the template as a background. Therefore, the method can achieve the effect of improving interest of the short message just by directly transmitting the short message between the sender party and the receiver party without increasing the processing load of a short message center or occupying network resources.
