Social Work Intervention with Wife Assaults

Public attention to wife assaults has increased in recent years in Singapore. This article presents data from a national survey of 510 Singapore households regarding their opinions of how social workers should intervene in cases of wife assaults. The authors then provide an overview of current social service efforts to intervene in wife assaults and conclude with a discussion of the similarities and differences between social attitudes and current intervention efforts.
