Frequency duplex function aperture antenna with high isolation

2016
A frequency duplex function aperture antenna with high isolation characteristic is presented. The proposed antenna consists of two parallel rectangular slots and two microstrip lines for the antenna feed. The antenna is configured with two ports, one is for transmitting and the other is for receiving. Band stop filters are adopted to enhance the isolation performance between the two ports. The transmitting band operates on 1.27GHz (1.21GHz–1.36GHz) and the receiving band operates on 1.58GHz (1.56GHz–1.63GHz). The bands are fairly close to each other. Port isolation is about −35dB at 1.27GHz and −43 dB at 1.58GHz, respectively. Both of the bands are radiating same polarization wave, which could be a candidate for a frequency duplex antenna.
