Migração feminina brasileira e a experiência do envelhecimento em Portugal: sexismo e outros “ismos”

2020
Abstract This article seeks to understand how female Brazilian migrants, older than 50 years of age, residents in Portugal, perceive the stereotypes that are imputed to them from the perspective of the ingroup, in this case, the host society. Through interviews of Life Stories, which we analyze under the intersectional perspective and the decolonial paradigm, we contextualize the themes of greatest recurrence in the speeches of these migrants, namely: meta-stereotypes, the labor market, aging and some of the strategies used in integration attempts. Keywords: migrants; gender; racism; ageism; intersectionality.
