Recherche GRIF--UQAC « Réformes des formations du secteur social et socialisation professionnelle »

This document is the final report of a research study on the impact of reforms and the implementation of reference systems on the professionalisation of social workers in the mid-2000s in France and Quebec. The authors carried out a qualitative study based on semi-directive interviews conducted with sixty professionals in Chicoutimi, Quebec and in the Paris region in France. Three parameters are highlighted: the impact of referentialization itself, generational factors and the influence of the new public management.
