Effect of seawater on basic service properties of MN-7.5 oil

1. MN-7.5 oil that has been “salinized” (salt-contaminated) in service can be washed satisfactorily if the oil temperature is increased to 70–75°C. 2. Repeated washings of the salinized MN-7.5 oil with distilled water do not harm the basic service properties of this oil.
