Effects of “Jianpi Qinghua Decoction” on Motilin and Gastrin in Chronic Renal Failure Rats by Different Fat Feeds

2007
Objective To observe the effects of "Jianpi Qinghua Decoction" on motilin and gastrin and its mechanisms in improving gastrointestinal symptoms, reducing Scr and delaying CRF progress in chronic renal failure(CRF) rats by different fat feeds. Methods Establish three CRF rat models by undergoing 5/6 nephrectomy and supplying different fat feeds. After eight weeks of treatment with distilled water, "Jianpi Qinghua Decoction" and Monopril, the levels of 24-h urine protein(Upr), blood urea nitrogen(BUN) and motilin and gastrin of rats in these three models were examined. Results The levels of 24-h Upr,BUN and serum Cr in the three models were significantly higher than those in the untreated groups. The levels of motilin and gastrin of two models by supplying high-fat feeds were significantly higher than the model by supplying normal-fat feed. The levels of 24-h Upr in Decoction-treated groups of three models were significantly lower than those in the untreated group of three models. The levels of motilin and gastrin in Decoction-treated groups of two models by supplying high-fat feed were significantly lower than those in the untreated groups of two models by supplying high-fat feed. Conclusion This Decoction can suppress the secretion of motilin and gastrin to improve gastrointestinal symptoms and delay CRF progress.
