The use of image recognition methods in evaluating the degree of severity of radiation injury

: The possibility of application of mathematical methods of the image recognition theory for the estimation of radiation damage severity (RDS) is grounded. The application of the method for the RDS estimation according to densito-geometrical parameters of the peripheral blood lymphocytes is described. The decisive rules for the estimation of the RDS within the feature space are developed. The obtained statistically valid linear discriminant functions possess a high descriptive and prognostic power.
