reúso de efluentes domésticos na irrigação por gotejamento do tomateiro Reuse of domestic wastewater in tomato drip irrigation

2015
The reuse water for irrigation in Brazil is ceasing to be an alternative and becoming a necessity due to low rainfall observed in recent years. This study aimed to evaluate the reuse of treated wastewater in stabilization pond in tomato culture through drip irrigation in the municipality of Juazeiro - BA. The adopted experimental design in randomized blocks in split-plots, having water from the Sao Francisco river associated with chemical fertilization (T1), the chlorinated effluent (T2) and effluent (T3), in addition to tomato varieties IPA 7 and IPA 14 in the sub-plots. At the beginning and end of the experiment soil samples were collected for complete chemical analysis, aiming fertilization recommendation and impacts assessment of reuse on soil properties and chemical characteristics. Microbiological analysis were performed to identify the presence of total and thermo tolerant coliforms, as well as Salmonella sp in soil and, total coliforms and Salmonella sp in fruit. Total tomato production, soluble solids content and fruit pH were obtained results were subjected to analysis of variance and mean test, adopting Tukey at 5% probability. The results allowed concluding that there was no microbiological contamination in soil and fruits, and, reusing increased tomato production.
