Application of multi-stage health education in patients undergoing vitreoretinal microsurgery

Objective To explore the influence and application value of multi-stage health education with family members participating in patients undergoing vitreoretinal microsurgery.Methods 46 patients undergoing vitreoretinal microsurgery were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,23 cases in each group.The control group was given conventional nursing,While the treatment group was given the multi-stage health education with family members participating.By recording the information of lasting time of first body position,symptoms,hospital stays,and follow-up,the research was applied.Results The treatment group was superior to the control group in understanding the related knowledge (P=0.0093) and skills (P=0.0155) of the diseases,shortening hospital stays (P=0.0013),alleviating symptoms and keep the better body position of post operation (P=0.0000).Conclusion Family members participating in multi-stage health education in patients undergoing vitreoretinal microsurgery can improve patients' understanding of disease related knowledge,compliance behavior,and the quality of medical care.
