Microspectrophotometry as an aid for the identification of rodenticides and other pesticide preparations

Abstract A method has been developed capable of improving the prediction of pesticide type from the small samples found in casework. The Nanospec microspectrophotometer is used to obtain reflectance spectra of the dyes or pigments used in these products, and the spectra are then compared with those obtained from known samples. Some casework samples are quoted.
