Doxazosin-containing slow release composition and preparation method thereof

The invention provides a doxazosin-containing slow release composition which comprises (a) a medicine-containing tablet core, (b) a water-insoluble semitransparent film, and (c) a hole formed in the water-insoluble semitransparent film, wherein the tablet core is prepared from 20 to 60 percent of medicine-containing particles by weight, 10 to 30 percent of polyethylene oxide by weight, 4 to 12 percent of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose by weight, 5 to 10 percent of an osmotic pressure regulator by weight, 30 to 50 percent of a filler by weight and 1 to 5 percent of a lubricating agent by weight; the semitransparent film is prepared from 80 to 90 percent of a film forming material by weight, 5 to 10 percent of a plasticizer by weight and 5 to 10 percent of a pore-forming agent by weight. The process for the slow release preparation is simple, the quality is controllable, the medicine loading amount is high, and the release time is prolonged.
