On the restricted energy loss of relativistic charged particles in matter

Abstract The Bethe-Bloch formula with density effect correction which describes the restricted energy loss of relativistic charged particles in matter is extended to the case when the upper energy transfer in single collisions are of the order or less than the binding energy of atomic inner shell electrons.
