Effect of Different Treatment Methods on Superovulation of Rabbits

[Objective] The purpose was to confirm the stable and high efficient superovulation method for rabbits.[Method] As for PMSG test group,the female rabbit was subcutaneous injected on its neck with PMSG 40,60,80 IU/pc,and for FSH test group,the female rabbit was FSH subcutaneous injected on its neck for 6 times at intervals of 12 h,the injection volume was in descending,and total dosage was 80,60 and 40 IU per rabbit resp.,after PMSG and FSH injection,the intravenous injection through the ear edge vein with HCG 100 IU per rabbit,the egg recovery rate was calculated,and the superovulation effect of two treatment methods was compared.[Result] When using PMSG superovulation,the egg recovery rate for 60 IU/pc test group was significantly higher than the other 2 groups(P0.05). As using FSH diminishing method for superovulation,the egg recovery rate for total dosage of 60 IU per rabbit in test group was obviously higher than the other 2 groups(P0.05).The egg recovery rate for FSH diminishing method test group and PMSG test one had no evident difference(P0.05).[Conclusion] The superovulation effect was the best with the treatment on rabbits in combination of 60 IU per rabbit in PMSG group with 100 IU per rabbit in HCG one and the egg recovery rate was up to 70%.
