Novel Phthalocyanine: Sensitive and Enhanced Electro Catalytic Behavior of 3-Aminophenol on Decorated GCE

2021
The sensitive and selective methods was developed for the determination of 3-aminophenol (3-AP) using 9-aminophenanthrene substituted Co(II) phthalocyanine (APNCoPc) complex modified with glassy carbon electrode (GCE). The cyclic voltammetric, differential pulse voltammetry and chrnoamperometry were used to investigate the electrochemical reaction of 3-AP at the modified electrode. The 3-AP shows an excellent irreversible oxidation peak with potential of 0.55 V (v/s Ag/AgCl) in phosphate buffer solution (PBS) pH-7. The experimental were optimized and the kinetic criterions were studied and the oxidation reaction was discussed. Under the particular experimental states, the oxidation peak current was proportional to 3-AP concentration in the range from 50 to 90 µM with the co-relation co-efficient of 0.9686. The detection limit was 0.03 µM (S/N=3). The CA exhibits a good linear response in 10 to 160 µM with the co-relation co-efficient of 0.9779. 3-AP was successfully determined in water samples with standard addition methods. Sensitivity value of APNCoPc was excellent and exhibits good and quick response of the desired sensor. This sensor shows greater reproducibility, high selectivity, repeatability, and stability for detection of 3-AP even when the interfering species are present in high concentration.
