Urological complications in 454 renal transplants

FROM January 1st 1975 to December 31st, 1984, 466 renal transplants were performed at our institution. There were 454 case records available for study. There were twenty-eight urological complications in the series. This represents an overall incidence of 6.2%. Eighteen of these complications were ureteral fistulae and ten were ureteral obstructions. Surgical correction was successful in 85% of these patients.
