Effects of bursin on cAMP and cGMP level of hybridoma cells

2004
The effects of bursin in different concentration on cAMP and cGMP level of hybridoma cells secreting monoclonal antibody against human IgG were studied by immunoassay. The results showed that the concentration and action period of bursin could not significantly influence the level of cAMP in hybridoma cells (P>0.05), but could influence the level of cGMP. After the cells were treated for 5 minutes with 50#mu#g/mL and 500#mu#g/mL bursin respectively, the level of cGMP in both group of the cells all decreased significantly (P<0.05), which led the ratio of cAMP to cGMP to increase greatly (P<0.05). 10 minutes later, the cGMP level of the latter still decreased, but that of the former remaintained the same. These results indicated that bursin could act through the change of the concentration of cGMP or the value of cAMP/cGMP.
