Abstract In the nonmagnetically diluted system Zn x Cd 1− x Cr 2 S 4 , the ferromagnetic structure of x = 0 compound is gradually modified by Zn substitution leading to more and more disordered magnetic states (reentrant-like properties, cluster regime. spin-glass-like, etc.).
