An Integrated Modeling Method and Maximum Power Point Tracking Analysis for Photovoltaic Systems with DC Bus

2018
To avoid the produced power losses, many maximum power point tracking (MPPT) methods used in the control of photovoltaic (PV) systems is usually implemented by the control of the buck, boost or buck-boost DC/DC converter. In this paper, through studying deeply the ideal mathematical models of three PV systems with DC bus, an integrated modeling method is proposed by using MATALB software, which interprets the theoretical relationship between output power and control signal. Meanwhile, the duty cycle values of three DC/DC converters corresponding to their own maximum power points (MPPs) are given by MPPT analysis. Finally, some experiments are conducted to test the correctness of these integrated models and the feasibility, availability and convenience of integrated modeling method are verified by simulation results.
