Lithological Information from Borehole Full Wavetrain Analysis

The dominating waveforms in a borehole seismogram are the dispersive guided boundary waves: the Stoneley wave (tube wave) and the Pseudo-Rayleigh wave modes. An analysis of measured field data with respect to these dispersive waves requires an appropriate dispersion analysis method.
