Principle of the Equality of Losses Relative Increments and Its Application for Power Grids

2018
The paper deals with the application of the principle of power losses relative increments (LRIs) equality in order to reduce the total losses of electrical energy. The equality of LRIs provides a minimum of active power losses in the grid for a particular energy output. The criterion implies the possibility of loads (re)distribution between the nodes of an electric grid with controlled loads and distributed generation. For the goal of new customer loads' interconnection to the power grid, the necessity for interconnection differentiated rates according the values of LRIs is established. A low interconnection rate for the nodes with minimal values of the LRIs will contribute to the efficient development of the grids and their operating conditions with a minimum of transmission and distribution losses.
