From a longitudinal study to cross-sectional study

Abstract In the last chapter, two important conclusions were found from the result of our survey: the environmental consciousness of urban residents has increased year by year, and the weak environmental consciousness of rural residents compared with the urban residents. These two main conclusions are consistent with the previous researches; however, these two conclusions seem as a paradox if the rapid urbanization scenario in China is considered. Before we see the paradox in detail, let us see the rapid urbanization in China first.
