Metal substrate for LED

2013
The invention provides a metal substrate for an LED. Metal, having the characteristics similar to Mo in texture and being resistant to high temperature, small in thermal expansion coefficient and stable in vacuum, serves as a core material of the metal substrate. The metal is improved so as to have the functions of high brightness and high cooling performance. Even if people are unskilled, the metal substrate can not fail but can be tightly provided with an LED component in an adhesive mode. An adjusting clad layer used for improving hardness of CuW is formed on a core substrate body made of CuW alloy and spaced with a substrate clad layer made of Ni or Ni-P alloy, and the adjusting clad layer can be any of the following three adjusting clad layers: an AuSn alloy adjusting clad layer (3), a composite adjusting clad layer (4) where Au and Sn are stacked and a composite adjusting clad layer (5) where In and Au are stacked. The substrate can be connected with an epitaxial layer of the LED element in an adhesive mode through the adjusting clad layer.
