By x-ray structural analysis the authors have determined the structure of the swollen virus particle Carnation Mottle in the crystalline state (F = 23, a = 482.6 A, Z = 4, V m = 3.6). For the first time the set of intensities diffracted by the virus monocrystal is obtained in the automatic mode on a diffractometer with an x-y detector, and the phase problem is solved by the method of refinement of the coordinates of the «atomic quasimodel»
