Device for switching the intake / exhaust valves for internal combustion engines

2001
The invention relates to a switching device for switching the intake / exhaust valves of internal combustion engines. These are displaced hydraulically. A hydraulic fluid is supplied via a switching valve piston displaced in the required position by the pressurized hydraulic fluid. To move them optimally, they comprise at least one actuating element (17, 36) comprises on its side remote from the hydraulic fluid at least one damping means (18, 27). It opposes the force exerted by the hydraulic fluid to the actuating element (17, 36). Thanks to the switching device, one can adjust the damping so as to correspond to a curve of the course of the cam of a camshaft. Thanks to the switching device, can be switched of the intake / exhaust valves of internal combustion engines devoid of camshaft, preferably diesel engines.
