Personalized Medicine uses genotype data from an individual in order to classify or predict, more accurately, certain pathological conditions or reactions. This is performed to provide a focused approach to the patient in terms of health care. The aim of this paper is to discuss the changes brought by genomics and the consequent development of Personalized Medicine, its relevance and main applications, particularly for Dermatology. It is also discussed what the clinician should expect of these promising tools for the future
