Evidence for enhanced transition rates in the feeding of high spin states in 147Gd

Abstract A study of multiplicities and continuous γ-ray spectra, taken in conjunction with feeding time measurements, shows that in 147 Gd cascades of collective-like E2 transitions feed the quasi-particle yrast states at spins as low as ≈ 51 2 .
