Intracranial direct operation for carotid-ophthalmic aneurysm by unroofing of the optic canal.

Six consecutive cases of carotid-ophthalmic aneurysm are reported. All were successfully treated by direct intracranial surgery. Prior to approaching the aneurysmal neck, we unroofed the optic canal, and we recommend this operation.
