On the OH emission from RV Tauri variable stars

A search for OH emission was made at 18 cm towards nine RV Tau stars in order to determine the expansion velocities and to check for the probable presence of molecular abundance anomalies in the envelope. We do not confirm the only two published (tentative) detections, in TX Per and RV Tau, to a significantly better noise level.
