The structure and stereochemistry of roburic acid [3,4-secoursa-4(23),12-dien-3-oic acid, C 30 H 48 O 2 ], isolated as the main component from the Chinese drug «Ch'in-Chiao» (Gentiana macrophylla pall.) has been established
