The synthesis of silver phosphine phenyl derivatives for the use in cancer studies

The synthesis of silver phosphine phenyl derivatives for the use in cancer studies. Cancer is a growing disease which should be eliminated or cured. Compounds should be synthesized which will target the tumour cells without damaging healthy cells. Silver (I) compounds, namely [Ag(dppe)2]NO3- and [Ag(dppp)2]NO3-, were synthesized and tested on SNO cancer cells. Results showed good anti-cancer activity towards the cancer cells.
