히트파이프 형상 변수에 따른 Li-ion 배터리의 공랭식 냉각성능에 관한 해석적 연구

In this study, a thermal management system for the li-ion battery is investigated using an air-cooling method with heat pipes. The air flow generated by the fan cools the battery cell surface through the flow path between battery cells. Also, heat pipes are installed between the battery cells to effectively dissipate the heat. The effects of the heat pipe length ratio, flow rate, and battery heat on the cooling performance are studied using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics). The cooling performance is evaluated using indicators such as the maximum temperature, minimum temperature, temperature deviation, flow velocity, and pressure decline. The results show that the maximum temperature, minimum temperature, and temperature deviation decrease with the increase in the length ratio of heat pipes and the flow rate. However, the pressure drop and maximum flow velocity related to the deterioration of the fan increase, thus the heat pipe should be designed considering the system efficiency.
