Construction and Application of a Ship-borne Multi-Target Simulator

Ship-borne S-band TTC system is a key component of Chinas space TTC network and it provides sea TTC service for launch of single satellite or multi-satellite with one launch vehicle.Following description of the characteristics of multi-target measurement and control missions of space tracking ships,this paper analyzes the status-quo of ship-borne flight target measurement and control simulator as well as the requirements for a multi-target simulator.A multi-target measurement and control simulator is successfully developed and applied in an actual mission thanks to a proposed design based on the ship-borne XPON of the S-band system and by upgrade of parts of XPONs modules for forming a multi-target measurement and control simulator.
