Nuclear antiferromagnetic phases of copper in a field

Abstract The phase diagram of the nuclear spin system in copper has been studied by neutron diffraction. Three antiferromagnetic phases appear as the external magnetic field aligned along the [01 1 ] crystal axis is varied between zero and B c =0.25 mT. The results are compared with simultaneous susceptibility measurements.
