A process for removing catalyst residues has the son metal surface by catalytic growth DRAWN

2010
Process for removing catalyst residues (2, 2', 2'', 2''') present on the surface of solid structures made of a first material (3) and obtained by catalytic growth, comprises: catalytic growth from the catalyst residues, of solid structures made of a second material (4); and selective removal of such solid structures made of a second material. Independent claims are included for: (1) a process-I for fabricating solid structures made of a first material (3) comprising: catalytic growth, from a catalyst, of the solid structures made of a first material (3); and eliminating catalyst residues (2, 2', 2'', 2''') present on the surface of solid structures by the process; and (2) the solid structure, preferably nano-wire, obtained by the process, where the structure is devoid of catalyst on its surface, preferably on its sides.
