Electroquasistatic model of RF capacitive hyperthermia with heat convection mechanism

2017
An electroquasistatic (EQS) model of RF capacitive hyperthermia for treating lung tumor is proposed. A finite difference method is used to obtain the electrical potential in the body tissues, which is enclosed with bolus kept at a constant temperature. The temperature distribution is then obtained by solving a bio-heat equation, including the heat delivered by the RF field and the metabolic heat generated by the body.
