A multi-country perspective of students’ entrepreneurial attitudes

2011
As part of an ongoing research endeavour aimed at examining the entrepreneurial attitudes and intentions of students from around the globe, the current study extends previous research by examining the degree to which nationality is associated with entrepreneurial attitudes in students from China, Brazil, Turkmenistan, and USA. Hypotheses based upon differences in national culture and entrepreneurial infrastructure were posited and examined. Findings were not as anticipated in that Turkmen students showed a very strong entrepreneurial orientation and US students' attitudes were largely less developed than those of their peers from other nations.
