The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the scientific approach in learning to write the text of the report on observation in class X. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, single designation. The results of this study Implementation of the scientific approach in writing the report text of the observation from the first meeting to the meeting of the four components of the implementation of the scientific approach in the form of 5M (observing, asking, gathering information, reasoning and communicating) the more complete application. The weak point of the 5M component of the implementation of the scientific approach lies in the questioning activity. At the first meeting there was no questioning activity. At the second meeting there were already questioning activities even though those who asked teachers were not students. The third meeting of the questioning activities was carried out by students even though the teacher was stimulated first. The fourth meeting of students has asked itself. At the other stages of learning activities are in accordance with the scientific approach.
