Castleman disease with pericardial location. Third case of the literature
2009
: An intra-thoracic mass is a diagnostic challenge. We report the clinical case of an intra-thoracic mass which was incidentally detected in a 14-year old adolescent after a chest X-rays. The clinical investigation revealed a pericardial tumor. The immunohistological examination was consistent with Castleman disease. The rarity of this location was confirmed in the literature with only two cases previously published, to our knowledge.
