APLICAÇÃO DE REVESTIMENTO FILMOGÊNICO À BASE DE AMIDO DE MANDIOCA E DE ÓLEO DE CRAVO-DA-ÍNDIA NA CONSERVAÇÃO PÓS-COLHEITA DE GOIABA ‘PEDRO SATO’

2017
Guava is a rich fruit in zinc, fiber, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, folic acid and lycopene. Thus, guava is considered as "complete fruit”, nutritionally. This study evaluated the use of cassava starch coating and Indian clove essential oil on the quality and reduction of post-harvest losses by anthracnosis in 'Pedro Sato' guava. Only the isolated use of cassava starch-based coating allowed the extension of the useful life of guava in 3 days under ambient conditions. Despite Indian clove essential oil, with or without the coating starch-based, not aggregate increased 'Pedro Sato' guava lifetime, this allowed the reduction of the occurrence of anthracnosis.
