Cooperative Routing for Wireless Networks with Multiple Shared Channels
2009
Transmission links in wireless networks suffer from independent channel fading. Cooperative routing technology
with diversity transmission can exploit the randomness of
the wireless channel and efficiently improve the network
performance by selecting multiple cooperative nodes to forward the data. This paper proposes a novel Multiple Shared Channels Cooperative (MSCC) routing protocol for wireless networks. MSCC takes the advantage of cooperative
transmission to achieve diversity gains. It also combines a
clustering hierarchy with a bandwidth reuse scheme to mitigate Co-Channel Interference (CCI). The simulation results show an improvement in the packet delivery ratio of networks with MSCC.
