Research on Program of Container Sea-Rail Intermodal Development

The container throughput in Chinese ports has kept the first position for 7 years in the world since 2003,while the level of development of intermodal sea-rail transportation is extremely inconsistent with its international status.Based on this,aiming at the deficiencies of development of intermodal sea-rail transportation in Chinese ports,the existing three types of intermodal sea-rail transportation operating mode are analyzed deeply from perspectives of their advantages,disadvantages and respective influencing factors in this paper,which stands at the conflicting point of view between transportation volume and transportation capacity.Then,the paper gives the problem solution program which constraint the development of intermodal sea-rail transportation,such as institution construction,railway network layouts,market and services,key technologies,etc.
