Modelling and identification of drug diffusion in brain

Mathematical models of cerebral transport were derived to study the one-dimensional transport of anticancerous molecules across cerebral tissue. It was fitted to seven measured concentration C(x) curves giving parameter estimates of diffusivity D and capillary transfer constant K (or/and absorption by cells). This study describes a new method of determining coefficients using a technique of global optimization.
