Clinical and pathological analysis of 90 cases with breast cancer

2009
Objective: To explore the relationship between pathological type of breast cancer, lymph nodes metastasis and the expression of estrogen receptor(ER),progesterone receptor(PR) and CerbB-2.Methods: Tested ER,PR,and CerbB-2 in paraffin tumor specimens of 90 patients with breast cancer by S-PR two-step method.Analyzed the relation between the expression of ER,PR and CerbB-2,age,pathological type of breast cancer and lymph nodes metastasis. Results: The expression of ER had positive correlation with PR expression(P0.05),while the expression of ER PR had positive correlation with CerbB-2 expression(P0.05).The expression of ER and PR was independent of age and pathological type of breast cancer(P0.05),whereas the expressions of ER and PR in patients without axillary lymphatic metastasis were lower than those in positive patients. Conclusion: The expression of ER,PR and CerbB-2 in breast cancer patients is regular to some degree. It can be used as a marker for therapeutic arrangement and prognostic judement.
