Research into a Fuel Supply System in the Aircraft Diesel Opposed Engine

Precise fuel dosage as one of the key factors behind the power supply system can affect the correct course of combustion which in the diesel engine is determined by injection, i.e. injection time and injection angle. This paper presents the research results on a control unit of an aircraft diesel opposite engine. The measured parameters included the mass flow rate of injectors operated by six control channels (3-cylinder engine, 2 injectors per cylinder). Defined by crankshaft speed and injection time, the test conditions corresponded to conditions of take-off power, cruising power and warm up. The examination of the results showed that fuel mass in each of the channels of the control unit is different.
