The results of the use of distance learning technologies on the subject «food hygiene» in the training of students 4-year medical school on a specialty «medical and prophylactic business» in order to implement the competency approach. Objective: improvement of the formation of competencies in students of medical-prophylactic faculty through the introduction of distance learning technologies in the teaching of the subject «Food hygiene». The object of study the study of the educational process of discipline «Food hygiene», the subject of study the organization of independent work of students using distance learning component. Learning section «Nutrition» course «Food hygiene» was conducted with the use of distance learning technologies. This full-time (classroom) form of training alternated with remote forms used in the form of students´ independent work. In-person classroom training students voiced goals, objectives, study this section discipline. To run with the help of distance learning technologies extracurricular self-study suggested the same name guidelines. As a component of distance-learning technology used case. The model used distance learning to provide a high quality of knowledge to study issues and possible to realize the competence approach.
