High-temperature adsorption process for decomposition of oxalate ion

1996
The problem of oxalate ion decomposition in nitric acid solution has been considered. The decomposition was effected by way of homo-heterogenous manganese catalysis if handling of radioactive solutions by the Method of High-temperature sorption using porous inorganic matrix (silica gel). In the work presented in this paper the conditions of transuranic elements oxalate mother solutions utilization were investigated. In the course of reiterations carrying-out the charge of manganese participating at destruction of oxalate ions may be reduced. Transformation of elements into solid state at adsorption during the evaporation removes radionuclides and catalytic additive from processing cycle with production of cleared condensate.
