In the health insurance system of the Federal Republic of Germany, Freud's utopian vision of the application of psychoanalysis to every citizen in need of treatment has become realizable since 1967. But the attempts to extend the claim for psychotherapeutic care (ex.: high-frequency treatment) have caused fundamental problems (economic considerations, illusionary aims).
