Indicaciones del Láser Nd-YAG en patología infantil

We study the results and complications of the Nd- Yag laser, used in children (posterior capsulotomy, treatment of post-traumatics sequels, congenital malformations), to define the indications, advantages and inconvenients in this type of therapeutic. This treatment is held to a number of important factors, like the age, the risck otarnblyopia and the existance of a specific pathology. The results we obtain were fairly lower to the ones describe in adults, because of the amblyopia that a large number of patients presents, and the complications were fewer and not very important.
